In the book it says, "On the football field I don't run around people, I run through them." That's why his name is Crash. I think Crash also does football to make Jane like him.
    15. According to the book, conflicts that Abby and her mother have are fighting over if the mall should stay or not. Penn gave Abby a t-shirt that says, "Stall the Mall." Abby is on Penn and Jane's side. they are trying to get rid of the mall. Crash's mom wants the mall to stay because she works for the mall. In the book Abby says "We don't need more stores. We should take better care of what we have." Then Crash's mom and Abby get in a fight.
    16. Based on the book, summarizing the newspaper about Crash it talks about how he set a new record. In the newspaper it says the last record was set in 1985. ( 14) According to the book, Crash’s motto is ‘’ Life is Football.’’ The reason his motto is ‘’ Life is football’’ is because since Crash got humiliated in front of his friends by a sixth grader he was embarrassed. He likes Jane Forbes so at the dance he walked up to her and talked, but she didn’t answer any questions. Crash almost touched Jane’s cheek and she slapped his hand away. Crash never quit because that is the way he is on the football field.

    14. My explanation of Crash's motto is that he sometimes thinks of things he's done in life from a football perspective. For instance, he plows through things in life like people in a game of football plow through opponents. He also takes great risks like when he invites someone to dance when he doesn't even know who they are. This is like trying to get the football during a game because so many people are against you.

    15. The biggest conflict that Abby and her mother have is that Abby does not want the mall to be built, but her mother has the opposite feeling. Her mother is mad at her for objecting to the mall in public. Abby is upset that her mother is involved in building an unnecessary mall. Smaller conflicts are caused because Abby's mom is annoyed by some of the things Abby wants, such as wanting to turn their backyard into a wildlife habitat, wanting to be a vegetarian, and wanting to only buy clothes from Second Time Around.

    16. In summary, Crash was living up to his nickname every time he played football. The day that his team played Bayboro was no different. He also broke the record of 20 touchdowns in a year by completing 23 himself.

  19. Addison- Crash so angry when Penn and his family come over to his house. First of all he doesn't like the Webbs. Second of all he doesn't like Penn that he's eating the cookies that scooter made for crash. That's another reason why that crash doesn't like Penn and his family.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Addison- Crash got a Dan Marino football. He got his own VCR and two tapes to add to his collection. Swamp Things and Sports Bloopers. He got a game for his intendo and L.A. Raiders stuff: jacket, wristbands, and cap. And a bunch of other clothes.

  21. 14. From the reading I know Crash's motto “Life is Football.” means he is really concentrated on football. And means to plow through everybody. He reminded himself of when he went after Jane Forbes. Even though she knows, he kept trying to get her to dance. This is like when he plays football. He never gives up.

15 Based on what I read Abby and her mother have many conflicts going on right now in the book. The first conflict that Abby and her mother have is that Abby is a vegetarian so her mother has to make two meals.
Another conflict is the mazall. Abby is against her mother helping to build the mall because it will ruin the environment. Abby was on the news because she was trying to stop the mall from being built.

16 According to the text Crash made a new school record for TD’s. The news reporter put it in the newspaper. It said that Crash caught 23 touchdowns and set a new school record. The old record was 20 touchdowns. Crash is a seventh grader so he will play again next year.

  22. 14. According to the text, Crash's motto is "Life is football." His motto is this because almost everything he does revolves around football. For example, Crash doesn't run around people he runs through people and this relates to football because they always have to tackle people. Without playing football, Crash wouldn't be called Crash.

    15. Based on what I read, Abby and her mom have conflicts in the book. One conflict is when they are arguing about Abby trying to stop the mall from being built. Abby is against the mall because she said that they don't need any more stores and that they should take better care of what they have. Another reason that Abby and her mom have this conflict is because Abby's mom somtimes doesn't buy her used clothes that people don't want.

    16. According to the book, Crash made a new school record of touchdowns for a year. This appeared on the sports page with the title, "Coogan smashes school TD mark." Crash made 23 touchdowns, breaking the old record of 20 in 1985. Crash is only in 7th grade so he will be able to play again next year.

  23. 14. Crash's motto is "Life is football" because for one reason he runs through people not around them. He also holds the record for the most touchdowns. He was pushing her into dancing with him and thinking that making would touchdowns would change her mind. Crash Coogan is aggressive and doesn't mess around just like in football.

    15. Abby and her mother's conflict's are about a few things. First, they were arguing about Abby stopping the people from making the new mall. Second, Abby wants her Mom to buy her secondhand clothes. Her mother doesn't think she appreciates things she gives her. Also, Abby refuses to eat meat.

    16. The newspaper article about Crash making a new record for most touchdowns in a season. It also talked about how he scored them, "he raced, weaved and mostly bullied his way for 3 touchdowns". The article talked about how he lived up to his name all season long. It said the old record for 20 touchdowns was made 1985.

According to Crash, his motto “life is football” is because on the football field he doesn't have to run around people, he goes through them. Everything in Crash’s life is about football. At school he is very popular just because he is a football star. Whenever there is a football game he goes to it. Everything he does is pretty much football, it is his life.

From the reading I know that abby and her mom have constant conflicts.the very first one i heard about was over abby’s new life and moma did not like it to much. she refuses to eat meat which is healthy but not to healthy.and she has nothing but second hand cloths and mom don't like that either. Plus abby had her side of anger because mom was lying about why she works late now.

Crash now has an article about him on the newspaper and i'm going to summarize it. Coogan smashes school TD mark. John coogan has been living up to his nickname all season long. Yesterday was no exception Crash waved and bullied his way for 3 touchdowns.

  25. 14. Based on what I read Crash's motto "life is football" is because whenever there is a football game he goes to it no matter what. And football is the only reason why he's popular. And finally it's because he can just go through people he doesn't have to go around them.

    15. Well based on what I read Abby and her mother have multiple conflicts and I will list two of them. One conflict is that Abby refuses to eat meat (AKA anything with a face) and her mother is NOT too happy about that. Second of all Abby fights to stop the new mall that the town is building, the same mall her mother is going to work in with her own store. And Abby succeeds. So you see the problem there, don't you?

    16. According to the book in the newspaper they wrote an article about Crash. The article talked about was Crash making a new record for most touchdowns in a season. The article also talked about how Crash mostly bullied his way into scoring 3 touchdowns. And that Crash was definitely living up to his nickname this season.

Crash's life motto is life is football. He says that He runs through life instead of around. And he always goes to football games. The only reason he is popular is because of football and all his TD's

Conflicts that Abby and he mother have. Are, when her mother gets home and she jumps on her. Also when he mom was mad that she stalled the mall. Also when Abby found out her clothes were not from second time around.

The article says that Crash made a record for the most touchdowns in his league. He was also living up to his crash nickname. For every time he hit someone.
