    6. From the book, Mike and Crash got in a food fight in the cafeteria. They got in a food fight because Crash was making fun of Mike. Mike grabbed his banana and smacked Crash with it. Crash and Mike then got sent to the vice-principal's office for starting a food fight.

    7. The vice-principal did not punish Mike and Crash because it was the first day of school. Mike and Crash did not get punished because the vice-principal is a big football fan and he said to save it for the field. The vice-principal also said, "You guys look like you can kick some tail." Lastly, the vice-principal said, "Cross me, and I'll have your butts for breakfast."

  2. 6. According to the book, what happened between Mike and Crash in the cafeteria was Crash and Mike were throwing food at each other. The reason this was happening was because Crash and Mike were fighting over Jane. Crash was saying that Jane would like him and not Mike then they started throwing food at each other. Three of the things they did to each other is karate chopping rolls, pouring milk on each other, and dumping out chocolate pudding on each other's trays.

    7. Based on the book, why the vice principal didn't get mad at Crash and Mike is because it was the first day of school, and he wanted to talk about football. The vice principle knew Crash and Mike were going to play football and told him he was a big fan. The vice principle told Crash he was a loose cannon and to save it for the football field. The vice principal also told Crash and Mike that they looked like they could kick some tail.

    8. Based on the book, the scene for tryouts in the gym was chaotic and crazy. The reason I think this is because in the book it says everyone was milling around the gym high-fiving and kicking the footballs. Another scene in the gym was on one side of the gym was the football players and on the other side of the gym was the cheerleaders and on the same side of the bleachers but the other side of the bleachers was the hockey team. The last part of the scene is Crash was surprised that Penn was trying out for cheerleading.

    9. According to the book, how Penn and Abby are alike is they both like nature, they walk Penn's turtle together, and they are both perky. Abby likes nature because she is always outside playing with bugs and other things. Penn likes nature because he is always walking outside. Abby and Penn walk Penn's turtle together because they both like outside. The last reason they are similar is because they are both perky. Abby is perky because when her mom came home from work she jumped on her lap. Penn is perky because he never gets mad at anyone.

    10. Based on the book, Crash's parents are busy. They are busy because when both of them come home from work they are tired. Crash's parents are also mean. The reason I think this is because Crash's dad was being mean when he heard Penn was trying out for cheerleading just because he is a boy.

    8. From the book, the scene for tryouts in the gym was wild. It was wild in the gym because everybody was kicking footballs around. Next, it was wild in the gym because when the football players went in their group, they all started to pump their fists. Lastly, it was wild in the gym because the football players were all yelling, "Ouu, ouu!"

    9. Based on what I read, how I know Penn and Abby are alike is because they both like to walk Penn's turtle. Next, how Penn and Abby are alike is because they are both perky. Third of all, Abby and Penn are alike because they are both outside people. Lastly, Crash thinks that Penn is immature because Penn hangs out with Abby, Crash's little sister, who is in fifth grade.

    10. From the book, how I can describe Crashes parents is that they are tired and grumpy. Crash's parents are tired because for example, Crash's mom was busy selling houses. She also has to come home every night to make dinner. Lastly, Crash's parents are grumpy because when they get home, Abby asks a lot of questions and jumps on them.

  4. 6. Mike and crash got into a food fight in the cafeteria. They got in a food fight because crash said, " Oooo there's that crash Coogan scoring another touchdown. I do believe I'm falling in love with that boy. He's so good and handsome. Not that ugly nipplenose, Mike Deluca". Mike got upset and hit Crash with his banana. Then Chrash took Mike's hot dog and hit him with it, Mike did the same thing to Crash.

    7. According to the text the vice principal did not punish Mike and Crash because he was a big fan of football. In the book the vice principal said, "I'm a big football fan. You guys look like you could kick some tail". He also said that it was the first day of school. Plus no one should get punished on the first day of school.

    8. In the text the scene in the gym for tryouts was awkward because Penn was trying out for cheerleading. When they went outside Penn and another cheerleader were at the drinking fountain washing out his shoes. When they were inside they saw that girl that Crash thought was Michelle. She was trying out for cheerleading too.

  5. 9. Penn and Abby are alike because they both like nature. Penn would just save crawling bugs and so would Abby. I also think Penn teaches Abby to be like him. Abby wants to wear cloths just like him, second hand cloths. Abby and Penn both like touching worms and other bugs.

    10. Crashes parents are kind people. I also think that they can be a rude some times. Crash's dad started laughing when Crash told him that Penn was trying out for cheerleading. Crashes mom yelled at Abby when she came to say hi and jump on her lap.

  6. 6. Based on what I read, what happened between Crash and Mike in the lunch room is Crash made Mike mad by calling him "ugly nipplenose." So Mike hit Crash with a banana, and then they got into a food fight. They are started out laughing, but then since neither of them like to loose they got mad. Then they had to go to the vice principal' office.

    7. The Vice Principal didn't punish them for a couple reasons. One is it was the first day of school so he cut them some slack. The second reason is he is a big football fan. Crash and Mike are both football players. The VP said "You guys look like you can kick some tail." He wants them to save it for the football field.

  7. 8. The scene the for tryouts is very rowdy. The football players were basically playing football on the way to the gym. Crash was surprised to see Penn on his way to the gym. Amazingly, Penn was trying out for cheer leading.

    9. Abby and Penn are alike because a few reasons. First, they like to talk about nature. Second, they like to walk Penn's pet turtle. Third, they are both really perky.

  8. 10. Two words to describe Crash's parents are exhausted and unhappy. Crash's mom is a real estate agent and she hasn't sole a house for a very long time. Crash tell his dad about his first football game of the season and asks him if he can go. His dad doesn't seem excited about it, probably because he has to work.

According to the text Mike and Crash got into a food fight in the cafeteria. The reason the boys got into a food fight was because Crash wanted to pretending to be Jane and made fun of Mike. Mike and Crash smashed hot dog buns. Mike took a banana from his tray and hit Crash in the head with it. Crash and Mike gave each other a milk shower with their straws. When Crash was about to cock his spoon with the chocolate pudding a hand was squeezing his shoulder. Crash thought that it was a dumb kid. So Crash put pudding on the hand, then when he looked back he saw that the hand was bigger than a seventh grade hand and it was a teacher’s.

    6. According to the text Mike and Crash had a food fight in the cafeteria. I know this because on page 37, it says Mike and Crash dumped chocolate pudding on each other, smashed hot dog buns, weiner whipped each other and also gave each other milk showers. They did this food fight because Crash wanted to pretend to be Jane and make fun of Mike. Neither of them wanted to stop the food fight because they were having fun and they didn’t want to quit.

  12. Addison-According to the text, Crash and Mike got into a food fight. I know this because on page 37 the author wrote that they threw some food at each other. They both had never been number 2 so they kept going. Until someone’s hand landed on Crash’s shoulder and Crash though that it was a kid so Crash put a load of pudding on the hand and then looked back and saw it was bigger than a seventh grader's hand and looked up and it was a teacher. That is the end of the chapter, personally I am every excited for the next chapter’s.

    7. The vice principal did not punish Crash and Mike because the vice principal is a huge football fan. For example, on page 38 the vice principal said he was cutting the boys slack because it was the first day of school, also because he needed them on the football field. He said, “But hey, first day, right? So I’m cutting you slack. I’m also reminding you I’m a big football fan.” The principal is not surprised that Crash is in trouble because he is a “loose cannon.” So the vice principal said if Crash and Mike get on the vice principal’s bad side they might not be able to play football.

  21. 8.Describe the scene for tryouts in the gym.
The scene in the gym was crazy, busy and crowded. On one side of the gym the football players were in the bleachers when their coach came in and shouted “ouu ouu,” to pump his team up. On the other side of the gym under the scoreboard were the cheerleaders. Somewhere in the gym the field hockey players were gathered and being noisy also. So that made a very loud gym during tryouts.

    (6) According to the text Mike and Crash got into a food fight in the cafeteria. The reason the boys got into a food fight was because Crash wanted to pretend to be Jane and made fun of Mike.

    (7) According to the book, the reasons the vice principal does not punish Crash and Mike is because, it was the first day of school. The next reason if you read page 38 chapter 11 it says that, the vice principal is a big football fan and Crash and Mike are the best on the team but none of them have been number 2 in there life. The other reason the vice principal does not punish them is because Crash is a loose canon, which means that he get in trouble a lot. The whole reason all of this happen was because of the cafeteria, food fight.

    (8) According to the detail in the book, I think the gym was very crowded with all of the people. The gym was organized with the cheerleaders under the scoreboard, footballers on the bleacher, and field hockey players on the other bleachers. The footballers were the loudest in the gym because when Mr. Lattner the head coach came out the football players started to jump and pump their fists and went ‘’ Ouu! Ouu!’’ at the head coach. That must have been very loud because one whole bleacher had all of the footballers.

    (9) According to the book, Penn and Abby are alike because they are both perky which means they are happy all the time. They both love nature. Also Penn and Abby go walking Toby the turtle together. Abby want to start buying her clothes from the second time around which is the thrift store because Penn buys his clothes there too.

    (10) Based on what I read, Crash's parents are alway busy. On page 43 chapter 13 when Crash’s parent come home they are very, very tired from their work. The mom and the dad are always down when they come home but, seem they have a perky one in there family Abby, she always make them be happy again. They don’t have much fun in their job because Crash’s mom said’’ you’d be tired, too, if you hadn’t sold a house since the Pilgrims came over’’. Crash’s parent do not spend a lot of time with Crash and Abby.

    6. From the reading I know that in the cafeteria Crash and Mike have a food fight. On page 37 it says that they smashed each others hot dogs. Nether could stand to lose. The food fight ended when Crash dumped pudding on a teacher's hand.

    7. The vice principal did not punish Crash and Mike because he is a football fan. So the vice principal let it slide and they did not get in trouble. And it was the first day of school and so the vice principal lets them go and play football. For example, the the vice principal says on page 38, “I'm cutting you slack I’m a big football fan.” The vice principal also called Crash a loose cannon and the vice principal was not surprised and Crash gets in trouble a lot.

    8. The scenes from the tryouts looked organized. There was football, field hockey and cheerleading. The cheerleading was underneath the scoreboard the the football was on the bleachers and the field hockey was on the other side of the bleachers. And before the played a game of midget ball in the hallway.

    9. Penn and addy are the same because the do or like the same things. Addy wants her clothes from the thrift store. Addy also wears a button and so does penn and it is in the same spot on there shirts. Addy turned into a vegetarian and Penn is a vegetarian. That's why Penn and Abby are alike.

    10. Crash’s parents are exhausted when they come home from work. They didn’t come to Crash’s football game and he seemed mad and sad. At the game, he shoved the second stringer who was coming to take his place on the field because he kept making touchdowns for his parents, but they weren’t there. They work so much and their kids just want to spend time with them.

  25. 7. According to the text the vice principal does not punish Crash and Mike. An example from the book is the principal is a big fan of football, and it’s the first day of school. The evidence on page 38 the vice principal whispered Crash I hear you’re a loose cannon. On page 38 the principal told John Coogan and Mike that he is a big football fan.

    8. According to the text the scene for tryouts in the gym. An example from this book, Mr. Lattner, the head football coach, came out. Us footballers all jumped up and pumped our fists and went, ‘’Ouu! Ouu!’’ The coach grinned and pumped us one back and we went wild. Then Mr. Lattner started talking to us, the usual stuff about parents permission and physical exams and all those things.

    9. According to the book, on page 44 it states how Penn and Abby are alike. An example from the book is that Penn is a vegetarian, and Abby turned into a vegetarian because she likes Penn Webb. Also, Penn Webb and Abby Coogan are alike because they’re both very perky. Now Abby Coogan wants the same kind of clothes that Penn Webb wears.

    10. Crash’s parents and really tired when they come home from work because they work so hard. Crash’s parents didn’t care about his football game and they didn’t show up. Crash’s parents didn’t care if he bullied Penn Webb or anybody else. They also bringed Scooter to take care of Crash and Abby because their parents work all the time.

  26. 6. What happened between Mike and Crash in the cafeteria was they had a crazy food fight. It started because Crash starts taking about football and that he's better than Mike at football. Then they started hitting each other with food. Crash felt a hand and thought it was "some dumb kid" so he dumped his pudding on the hand. He looked up and it was the teacher. That was the end of the food fight.

    7. The vice principal doesn't punish Crash and Mike because it was the first day of school. The vice principal said "I'm cutting you slack". He likes football and wants them to save it for the football field. He also said he wasn't surprised that Crash was the first one to get in trouble because he heard that he was a loose cannon.

    8. Based on what I read the scene in the gym is full of lots of football players, field hockey players and cheerleaders. They had them organized in groups for their sports. It got really loud in there because the head football coach came out and the football players jumped up, pumped fists and went wild saying "Ouu! Ouu!". Coach started talking about parent permission and physical exams. Crash and Deluca noticed Penn was trying out for cheerleading.

9.Penn and Abby are alike because they both like nature. They both go for a walk with Penn's turtle. Crash thinks that Penn is immature to hang out with a fifth grader. Penn and Abby are also both perky.

    10. Crash's parents seem like they are tired and miserable. They don't act like they care what their kids do. Crash's parents don't spend time with them very much. Crash's dad makes fun or Penn and let's Crash make fun of him too. His mom isn't very nice because she yells at them.

  27. Addison-According to the text, the vice principal does not punish Crash and Mike. The vice principal is a big fan of football, and it’s the first day of school. On page 38 the vice principal actually said,“So what I’m saying is, save it for the football field.” This shows that the vice principal cares some more about football.

  28. 6. Crash and Mike got in a food fight in the cafeteria. The reason they got in a food fight was because Crash was pretending to be Jane and make fun of Mike. They dumped pudding, smashed both of the hot dog buns, wiener whacked each other, and gave each other a milk shower. It started playful because Crash didn’t want to lose to Mike, but it turned into a bad situation.

7.Based on what I read, the reasons the vice principal does not punish Crash and Mike is because he loves football and they are football players. It is the first day of school, so he cuts them some slack. The vice principal wants Crash and Mike to take their anger out on the football field. It is more important to the vice principal to let them play football.

8.Based on what I read, the scene in the gym is crazy and excited. The athletic director organized everyone in the gym. The footballers were on the bleachers. Field hockey were on the other side bleachers. Cheerleaders were under the bleachers.

9.Based on the book, Penn and Abby are alike. One, the are both perky. Two, they both like nature and animals. Three, they both like learning about new things. Last, Abby and Penn are both vegetarian.

    10. Based on the book, I would describe Crash’s parents as kind of mopey. Crash’s parents are hard workers. They are always tired because they are always working. Even though they are tired and mopey, they are still nice.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Addison-The scene in the gym is described in the book as disorganized. I think the gym was a fiasco at first because the director wasn’t there to keep it organized. There were kids everywhere. Then the director came in and said, “Football here! Cheerleaders here! Field hockey there! Do it!”

7.According to the book, the vice principal does not punish Crash and Mike for starting a food fight in the cafeteria because Crash and Mike play football. On page 38 when Crash and Mike were in the vice principal's office. He said “ I'm not surprised you're the first one to show up here this year, Coogan. I hear you're a loose cannon.” The vice principal leaned forward, his hand smacked on the desk. The vice principal smiled. Then the vice principal said “But hey, first day right? So I’m cutting you slack. I’m also reminding you I’m a big football fan. You guys look like you can kick some tail. So what I’m saying is, save it for the football field.”

8.On page 39 it says that after school Crash and mike met at Crashes locker. And then headed for the for the gym. They picked up some other football players along the way. All the football kids started thumping each other, juking, throwing body blocks. When they were heading for the gym Crash and Mike saw penn webb. Football, field hockey, cheerleading everybody was milling around the gym, high~fiving, kicking the football. Mr. Taglieber, the athletic director, blew a whistle and yelled, “Alright listen up. Football here, Field hockey there, cheerleading there. Do it!” Football was on the bleachers the field hockey girls took the bleachers on the other side of the gym and cheerleading was under the scoreboard. All of a sudden Mike and Crash see Penn Wedd trying out for cheerleading.

9.Penn and Abby alike. They're both spunky and always looks on the bright side of life. Abby is now a vegetarian like Penn and they love nacher. Abby and Penn both were second hand clothes. They love animes and nacher I know this because Abby wants to make a nacher hapitate in her backyard. From the reading I know that Penn has a pet turtle.

10.Crash's parents are described in the book as hard working, tired, and forlorn. They are always working long hours. When the parents get home they don’t have time for their kids because they are too tired. They are forlorn because they are depressed.

Crash and Mike got in the food fight because Crash wanted Jane to like him.

    7. The reason the Principal does not punish Mike and Crash because of the food fight is because he loves football. Also, it is the first day of school. They get in a lot of trouble already, and they were being wild. The principal said, “Save it for the football field”. That is why they do not get punished by the principal for the food fight.

    8. The narrator described the gym during tryouts. After school, Crash went to his locker in the gym and brought the other football teammates with him. It was crazy, no organization, and a lot of different sports teams in the gym. Cheerleaders, football players, and field hockey players were in the gym for tryouts. The athletic director told everyone to go to different parts of the gym. After that, it wasn’t as crazy.

    9. Penn and Abby are alike because they are both perky. Abby and Penn are always happy and hyper. They are both nice because they are nice to everyone they meet. For example, when Penn and Crash first met, Crash was mean to Penn. Even though Crash was mean, Penn was still nice. They are both vegetarians. Abby won’t eat anything with a face, and doesn’t like killing animals. They both like second-hand clothes.

    10. Crash’s parents are very tired because they work all day long, and they’re not always happy. Crash’s mom is never happy because she never sells any houses. She comes home tired and mopey. They never go to Crash’s football games and he gets mad. Even though they are tired and mopey, they're still nice.

  34. 11. Crash wishes his parents were different for a few reasons. First, they are always cranky. His mom got mad at him for leaving his stinky football bag on the floor. His dad always sags when Crash tells him to do something. His parents didn't come to his football game, which made him very sad. He made so many touchdowns he had to get taken out of the game. Crash wants the to be happy.

    12. It bothers Crash that Webb’s parents cheer for him. Webb's parents cheer for Crash because he is scoring touchdowns. Crash is irritated that they are cheering for him because he is doing it for the team, not Penn's parents. I also think Crash is a little bit jealous that Webb's parents are there, and his aren’t. Crash is scored six touchdowns and his parents don't show up, and that made him mad because his parents never show up.

    6. In the cafeteria, Crash got into a food fight with Mike. The reason was to impress Jane Forbes. They both thought she was cute. The boys went on a long time. In an accident, Crash dumped pudding onto the vice principal's hand. The food fight only ended when the boys were taken to the vice principle's office.
7.The reason the vice principal didn't punish Crash and Mike was because it was on the first day of school. The vice principal is also a big fan of football and both of the boys play football. He told them "to save it for the field".
    8. The scene is a crowded gym. There is one set of bleachers full of boys and another filled with girls and just one boy, Penn Webb- who is going to try out for cheer leading.
9.Penn and Abby are alike because they are both chipper and perky. Both of them are usually super happy too. In the book, Abby jumps on her mother when she comes home and even though people show Penn that they don't really want him there, he comes back the next day, hoping they will be happier. They also love nature. They don't mind if they touch bugs and they both walk Penn's turtle.
    10. Crash's parents are both droopy after they get home from work. His mom is a very nice person. Even though Crash had already eaten, his mom made him steak to make sure he was full. His mom is only good at cooking one thing, cheesy steaks. His dad is calm and laid back. He doesn't really get mad at Crash for anything, unless it is a really big deal.

  36. 6. During chapter ten a food fight happens between Crash and Mike in the cafeteria. Mike karate chops Crash’s roll and Crash wacks Mike in the head with a hot dog. This food fight happens because Crash was making fun of Mike. The fight doesn’t stop because the whole place is in an uproar and because Mike and Crash both “REFUSE TO LOSE.”

    7. The vice - principal doesn’t punish Crash and Mike since it is the first day of school. The principal is going easy on Mike and Crash. The principal is also a fan of football, and both the boys play football. The vice - principal also wants them to save their energy for the football field.

    8. In the gym, the football players stayed on one side of the gym in the bleachers. The hockey team moved to the other side of the gym. The Cheerleaders took a position under the scoreboard at the end of the gym. Everyone was very excited while the coach organized.

    9. Penn and Abby are both alike because they care for nature and animals. Also, since they are both vegetarians, they both clearly state: “I do not eat anything with a face.”. They are both very perky, like how Penn is perky when he sees Crash, and Abby is always perky when her parents come home. They also like to learn about new things they hear everyday.

10 Crash’s parents are sad and mopey and depressed. The reason they are so forlorn is because they both have to work hard and time - consuming jobs. Every time they come home they are sulking and have no time to play with their children. Also, it doesn’t help that Abby thinks that the mall must fall when her Mom got to run three small stores.

  37. Addison-14. Explain Crash's motto "Life is football."
Crash's motto is “Life is Football.” That is his motto because he likes and plays football. His motto means to plow through everybody. He reminded himself of that when he went after Jane Forbes. Even though she no, he kept trying to get her to dance. This is like when he plays football. He never gives up.

    15. What conflicts do Abby and her mother have?
Abby and her mother have many conflicts going on right now in the book. The first conflict that Abby and her mother have is that Abby is a vegetarian so her mother has to make two meals.
Another conflict is the mall. Abby is against her mother helping to build the mall because it will ruin the environment. Abby was on the news because she was trying to stop the mall from being built.

    16. Summarize the newspaper article about Crash.
Crash made a new school record for TD’s. The news reporter put it in the newspaper. It said that Crash got 23 touchdowns and set a new school record. The old record was 20 touchdowns. Crash is a seventh grader so he will play again next year.

    8. The scene for tryouts in the gym had hockey, cheerleading, and football people who wanted to tryout. Each team were standing in different corners of the gym. The football coach gave them a paper for their parents to sign so they could play. Mike and Crash were talking about Penn trying out for cheerleading.
    9. Penn and Abby are alike because they both walk around with turtles a lot and they like to play with animals.
    10. Crash’s mom is lazy at home but she works as a real estate salesman. Crash’s dad has a hard job that requires him to do a lot of math. When his mom comes home she flops down on the couch and when his dad comes home he is tired from working all day.

    6. Based on chapter 6, what happened between Crash and Mike in the cafeteria was they were talking about Jane Forbes. Mike got mad at Crash, so Mike took the banana off of Crash's tray and smacked Crash with it. Crash took the hot dog out of Mike's roll and wiener-whipped him. Mike then grabbed Crash's hot dog and bonked Crash on the head with it. Crash brought his fist down and smashed Mike's hot dog. Mike karate chopped Crash's. Crash flipped Mike's chocolate pudding over. Mike did the same. Crash picked up a chunk of Mike's potato salad and flicked it in his face. After that and a lot more from the food fight, they got sent to the principal.

When Mike and Crash were  at the cafeteria, Mike grabbed a banana from his tray and smacked Crash in the face.  Then Crash grabbed a hot dog and hit Mike on the head. Everybody started laughing. Mike and Crash continued the food fight.

He told them that since it was the first day he was going to let it pass. The vice principal also stated that he was a big fan of football. He knew that Crash was really tough but he should save it for the football field.

While the coach was explaining the setup and all the parents permission things, the cheerleaders came out. Mike hit Crash and Crash yelled out, “hey”. Mike pointed to someone and Crash was like “oh her?” but then he saw it Penn. Penn was trying out for cheerleading.

    9. I don’t think that Penn and Abby are alike. The only thing that makes them alike is because they are both vegetarian. Abby only became vegetarian because she likes Penn. What I do know is that Penn and Abby like each other.

    10. Crash’s dad is very busy with work. He’s tough and brags a lot just like Crash. He spoils Crash a lot by taking him to games and letting him order Pizza, unlike my dad. Crash’s mom is really nice, like Abby. She hopes that Penn and Crash would be friends and likes that he is cheerleading.

What happened at the cafeteria between Mike and Crash was, Crash made fun of Mike's football position. Then they got in a food fight. Hitting each other with hot dogs, bananas and so on. Then the vice principal caught them. The vice principal does not punish Crash a Mike because he said it was there fist day. Also he's a big football fan and he thinks Mike and Crash are good. So he let them go if they could win at football. Then he said, "Get outta here."

The scene for tryouts in the gym was everyone was divided. The footballers were on the bleachers, The Field hockey players were on the other bleachers, and the cheerleaders sat under the scoreboard. Then the coach started talking about the permission slips and the physical exams.
